Hosted by the Department of Industrial Design, National Taipei University of Technology
Exhibition Period: June 6 to June 9, 2019
Event Coordinator: Chien-Yu Huang
The 2019 Taipei Tech Industrial Design Week marked a significant milestone as the department’s first large-scale off-campus exhibition. The event showcased nearly 400 works by 280 students, featuring a diverse range of disciplines including product design, interior design, furniture design, and woodworking. In addition to the exhibition, the event featured a series of public design talks, with respected industry professionals invited to share their insights. Attendees could also experience on-site CNC and laser cutting demonstrations, where personalized souvenirs were produced in real-time. Special thanks to our industry partners who co-organized the event and supported the fabrication of our modular wooden exhibition system, which was custom-designed to accommodate a wide variety of display needs. This event not only bridged the gap between academia and industry, but also created a vibrant platform for knowledge exchange, creativity, and hands-on interaction.
